Sid Meier’s Civilization VI – best PC game ever

Somehow, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI series is the symbol of PC games. Modding community, control schemes, and scope, makes all players to take a look at each new release. We were excited about the new game in this series and almost all aspects of Civilization VI were a triumph.

It is very familiar to fans of the series, but it also introduces many new ideas and concepts, corrects problems from previous series and makes you think about new strategies all the time. It can be quite overwhelming for beginners, but where’s the joy of playing if you don’t lose a few campaign until you realize how it works, how all options that you have available operate - see new ideas and concepts.

You will notice how Civilization VI is well done produced from the moment you enter the first time in the game. This may be obvious for a 4x game, but Firaxis seems to have learned from their mistakes in the games Civilization V and Beyond Earth. Even in the first minutes of the game, Civilization Vi seems to be a big and complete games, and most certainly in the future the developers have planned to release a DLC for this game, but currently you don’t feel the need for one and I honestly don’t think that a new DLC can bring much new compared with what already have in the game.

The presentation screen in Civilization VI is one of the things improved in the series. Unexplored areas appear as edges of a map created by a cartographer and they are decorated with compass and marine monsters until you send the units in that place. Map plays a huge role and it is the biggest strategic difference from all games that are part of this series ( check out gaming differences).

The units now need a whole move in order to get to a new place on the map (you can’t no longer move your units if they have only a half lap remaining). The workers were replaces with builders that can improve a finite number of title before they disappear. The resources that you gather provide you with housing that will help you expand the city. In Civilization Vi cities have multiple tiles and each district has each own tile.

The sounds and music are extraordinary in Civilization Vi. Music changes with each era and is consistent with the units and the surroundings that you have on the map. Unfortunately, in this series we don’t have as narrator Leonard Nimoy, instead we have Sean Bean that will read all the quotes and will provide comments for the various technologies that we have available. He is an excellent commentator and very fun, especially in the first stages of the game.

Civilization VI is a new game that will most likely enter in the race for game of the year for PC. I recommend this game to all fans of the series without any remorse. It is most certainly one of the best games I have ever played.
